Da Hye is in her second primary year of homeschooling now. After years of 'finding her own way', 'taking her own time' and 'uncountable on again off again moments', she's finally literate in English, Korean and Bahasa Indonesia. The journey is far from over but new chapter begins, a step furthur to become an independent learner in a road less travelled.

History 2
Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia has a very interesting history. From the name Batavia, Jayakarta to Jakarta, every name has its own story and learning about it can really bring us back into the living past. (pic: Da Hye being with uncles and aunties from Procter and Gamble, listening carefully the historian explaination about Jakarta in front of Fatahillah Museum)
History 1
Living in the era of information and communication super highway like today, we often forget that the communication device was started simple yet innovative. The book "sending messages" explained about the history of it in a fun way, it even explains about the morse code used in sending telegraph long ago. (pic: Da Hye's secret message in morse code)
Art and Craft 8
Abstract is not a meaningless scribble. It's more precise to say that it's a "non-figurative art," "non-objective art," and "non-representational art". Da Hye said that understanding the words figurative, objective and non representational was more difficult than creating an abstract art itself.
Heritage 5
One of the thing a child can do to be the GUARDIAN of his/her culture is to love his/her traditional foods, and know how to make them too. Thanks to Kim Sae Jong's mother for passing on her valuable knowledge in making Korean rice cake to the kids with passion and love. Here is the recipe.
